Grant Information

$100,000 grant is awarded annually to a Tri-State area non-profit Equity theatre company for the production of a classic play, an adaptation of a classic play or a work inspired by the classics. The grant must be used within 24 months upon receipt.

Applicants will be asked to submit a one page information sheet and a one page proposal letter. The field will be narrowed to 10 finalists who will be asked to send more detailed information. A committee of renowned theatre artists will make the final selection.

Grant Deadline

September 1- Applications Accepted
November 30 - Deadline for all Applications
January 31 - Finalist are notified
April 15 - Winner is notified

Guidelines:

  1. Must operate in the Tri-State Area.
  2. Must be an Equity theatre or employ Equity actors.
  3. Must have been in operation as a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) for at least three years.
  4. The production must be either a classic play, an adaptation of a classic play or a new work inspired from the classics.
  5. Applications will be accepted via email only utilizing the form below.
  6. Application must be received between September 1st - November 30th.
  7. The grant will be presented to the winner in Late Spring.
  8. The top 10 finalists will be notified by January 31st.
